What is so special about Colijnsplaat?

Colijnsplaat, a village on Noord-Beveland situated at the Oosterschelde estuary. Art & Culture of past and present are part of the living environment. Reminders of historical events such as the flood 1953, but also the origins of the coastal area in the Gallo-Roman period, are prominently represented in the public space. As there are the Nehalennia-temple with next to it the faithful reconstruction of Caudicaria Navis, the Roman freighter.
